We are Real

This is Finn
This is Finn

Lately I’ve been thinking about what Finn’s Door means to me and where I would like to take this blog. More like trying to wrap my brain around the caios that is my life at times. I realize I have not taken the time to truly introduce myself and what life is like for Finn’s Door on this side of the computer screen. So here it goes….

That's me
That’s me

I have always had a creative mind.  I love to do so many arts and crafts that it is tough for me to place focus in one area above all others.  I am focused lately on sewing.  I seems to be the one I come back to most often.  Through Finn’s Door I would love to share with you what sewing means to me and show you what I’ve created.

But let me back up a bit….I am a daughter, a mother, a sister, and a wife.  I am blessed to be a part of a crazy, loud, and always completely wild family.

This is my crew!

I am in love with them more then I ever knew possible.  It is for them and because of them that I do what I do.  I am a stay at home mom working to start a handmade business and share my goals, dreams, and struggles with you along the way.

Our home is in constant remodel.  You will always see a weird, misplaced item in my photos.  We let our children run the show.  Most of the time.

We encourage them to dance in the rain.

We give them ice cream cones in the car.
We give them ice cream cones in the car.
We expect goofiness.
We expect goofiness.

We are not perfect and we don’t want to be.  We argue, disipline, yell, and make messes.  Sometimes we clean them up but sometimes not.

Family is what guides me, annoys me, keeps me going.  So as I build this blog and my handmade treasures remember

Hope you’ll stick around long enough to get to know us.
