I was recently honored to test a great new pattern for Allison of E+MPatterns. and here it is….
Shirt Patter No.22!
I have had the pleasure of testing for Allison once before (you can see that here) and I can tell you this time was equally wonderful. Her patterns are incredibly easy to follow with tons of pictures and step by step accurate directions. They come together very quickly too.
This one took me just an afternoon. I was able to cheat a bit though. Both colors in my shirt were up-cycled from other tees. The navy was actually a shirt from my father that I was able get my hands. Caleb is so happy to have a bit of his grandfather to hold close to him. Using these shirts I was able to use the existing hems for the bottom and sleeves.
Shirt pattern No.22 is made with stretch material. I used a mid-weight jersey knit and had no issues with sewing. I used a knit foot on my machine and a jersey needle. The only addition I added was hem tape on the zigzags. It was smooth sailing. In fact this is the first knit item I have ever sewn!! Can’t wait to make another. I have 4 boys so I know there will be plenty more in the future.
Allison is releasing this pattern today at a great price!! You’ll be able to score it for half off. Only $4 until Midnight Tuesday (Eastern time) with no coupon needed. You can find it here:
Enjoy!! Remember to share with your friends and as always post pictures!!
