Once again I am so happy to be a part of such a great tour. OneThimble issue 13 is awesome.
For my stop on the tour I have chosen The Sakuro Clutch by LittleMoo Designs. I fell in love with the window of reverse applique and knew I had to sew one.
I decided to make 2 of these beautiful envelope clutches to give as presents to 2 almost teen girls. I wanted to sew them to be stylish and girly but not immature and I think it’s a win.
For the reverse applique accent I chose to use just a peek of Art Theory panel in Charcoal from Allison Glass purchased from LlamaFrabics on etsy. I have been waiting to use one of these panels for ages. The colors and print are amazing.
For my exterior I choose a denim in charcoal gray and a teal chevron interior, both from Joann Fabrics and Crafts.
I think they are perfect for art cases or journaling on the go.
I did take some creative liberty in the closure I choose for the clutch. I choose to do a simple button with a length of leather to tie the envelope closed.
I also had a chance to try out some super cute felt crafts from Felt with Love Designs I even got my son involved. We had so much fun stitching together. I will be turning this little one into a flower book mark to be included in each set. I may have to cut out a few more to let the little craft again. He was so patient and really put his all into his first stitches ever.
Hope you have been enjoying the tour and if you’re just joining please check out all these lovely and talented ladies to see their amazing projects.
